I will be reading/performing a selection from I WILL ROT WITHOUT YOU on Friday night at the Eraserhead Press party. I will also be on a panel on Saturday as well as performing (again) in the Ultimate Bizarro Showdown on Saturday night, in addition to having my co-authored book STRANGER DANGER (momentarily out-of-print) up for a Wonderland Award! Full schedule of events here. It's going to be quite a weekend. And attendees will be the first people to be able to score copies of I WILL ROT WITHOUT YOU because they will be on sale at the convention only until their official release date on Dec. 1st.

Here's what's going on:
Had a piece of flash fiction and an interview that ran on Kevin Strange's blog as a part of his new series he's calling 'Flash Me Fiction'. Essentially, I wrote a piece of flash called JUNE, and then Kevin asked me a few questions based off of the story. In true form, I regard most of those question with completely asinine answers. Again, here's the links:
The first is a reading at G-Mart Comics on August 1st in Chicago. It's part of the Bizarro Hour organized by Michael Allen Rose, and if you've ever seen any of their shows before, it promises to be a fun and funny time. We start at 8, so if you're in the area, COME ON BY!
And finally, you can catch me at the ScareLA convention in...well..Los Angels. That is August 8th and 9th. I'll be boozing and schmoozing and if you're there, come up say HI to me and make me feel like a big shot!
Both these "appearances" are a part of a 2 week cross country trip I will be on as I relocate from New Jersey to Portland, OR. Hopefully, my tires will stay inflated and the cops will regard my out-of-state plates with kindness.
That's all that's new in my world. Things will probably be picking up around here soon. There's a new novel that is quickly coming down the pike (should be available through Fungasm Press in October) and I have a few readings/performances slated for when I get to Portland, but I'm not sure of the dates yet.
I've been toying with the idea of actually staying up to date with this thing. Maybe doing a weekly update. Just letting everyone know what I've been up to and what cool shit some of my writer friends are up to that you might want to check out. As it is, I've just been using this blog as a 'link dump' to keep track of all my shit I've put out there in the world. What do you people think? Should I update this thing more? Does anyone even read this? Do you want to see my dick?
3. My novella ROADVOLUTION, which was my contributed half to my last book STRANGER DANGER has now been released on it's own. So, if you hate Kevin Strange, but love me, pick up ROADVOLUTION in ebook or paperback formats. The same goes for Kevin Strange's contribution COMPUTERFACE. Or, ya know, just buy STRANGER DANGER and get more bang for your buck.
Yes, I have new flash fiction up at Bizarro Central. This story is called THE VERSION OF 'PINOCCHIO' WHERE PINOCCHIO HAS A DICK FOR A NOSE. And although the story is about Pinocchio having a dick for a nose, it's also a meta-meditation on what it means to create the kinds of stories in which things like Pinocchio having a dick for a nose happens.
PART TWO - New Interview
Another monolithic youtube interview with the one and only Kevin Strange. This time, I'm sober! Actually, if you have some time to spare, it's pretty in depth. Kevin traces my entire career path, from wanting to write as a kid, until today, on the precipice of my THIRD BOOK being released. It's been an interesting journey, to be sure.

Here's the info on that so far: 1. It's called Stranger Danger.
2. It contains two novellas, one by Kevin Strange and one from myself (hence the title).
3. My novella is called Roadvolution, and it's fucking awesome.
4. It's coming out through Strangehouse Books.
5. It'll be released in late-April/early-May. No exact date yet, but stay tuned for details.

I have a new short story out! And it's free on the interwebs for you to read. It's called THEY CALL HIM BIGFOOT AVERT YOUR EYES NO AUTOGRAPHS PLEASE. You can find that at my all-time favorite online lit-mag Jersey Devil Press. I had submitted that story for a special issue for JDP founder Eirik Gumeny who is currently awaiting a lung transplant. It's sort of a benefit issue, not only to honor Eirik himself, but to help raise the funds he needs to pay for the operation and the aftercare.
