There has been a few problems with the paperback version of PUPPET SKIN on Amazon. Some computer glitch keeps bumping it offline or something. I don't freakin' know what the deal is, but it's been that way for the better part of a month. YOU CAN STILL ORDER THE BOOK FROM AMAZON, but it might take a while to show up. So while my publisher tries to straighten that out, they've lowered the price of the Kindle version to $2.99.

Days of the Dead! LA Convention!

Let's not bury the lead:

A Performance and an Anthology and and the Official Release Date for my Upcoming Novel!

Man, I'm not very creative with this post title, am I?

1. Tomorrow Dec. 4th you can watch me read at the Old Gilbert Road Tavern in Portland, OR for the inaugural show of the Gilbert Road Grotesque Variety Show. Hosted by Garrett Cook and Alicia Graves, it'll feature performances by yours truly along with other bizarro authors and comedians like G Arthur Brown and Karl Fischer. It'll be fun times, if you can make it.

2. My story 'A Robot's Sonnet' will be reprinted in the 2015 Jersey Devil Press Anthology celebrating 6 years of my favorite online lit-mag. This was one of my all-time favorite pieces of short fiction and this book looks to be JAM PACKED with good writers.

I will also be on a panel on Saturday as well as performing (again) in the Ultimate Bizarro Showdown on Saturday night, in addition to having my co-authored book STRANGER DANGER (momentarily out-of-print) up for a Wonderland Award! Full schedule of events here. It's going to be quite a weekend. And attendees will be the first people to be able to score copies of I WILL ROT WITHOUT YOU because they will be on sale at the convention only until their official release date on Dec. 1st.

An Interview and Two Upcoming Readings!

Short and sweet, here we go:

1. Did an interview with Christoph Paul on his excellent podcast The Passion of the Christoph.

2. October 1st doing a reading at The Lovecraft Bar in Portland, Oregon. This reading is the book release party of Garrett Cook's new novel A GOD OF HUNGRY WALLS as well as being the kick-off party for the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival. Lots of excellent bizarro writers will be performing, including (but not limited to) me, Garrett, Jeff Burk and Vince Kramer. I've written something special for this performance and it's either going to be a lot of fun or fail miserably.

3. October 6th I'll be reading again at The Hour That Stretches at the Jade Lounge here in Portland. Last month the reading there went well. This month it should be even better, as my girlfriend Lisa LeStrange will be reading too and I think we're gonna perform our joint 'Interactive Erotic Friend Fiction' bit we did at the Bizarro Hour in Chicago. And I *might* perform the 'Popsicle' bit that won me 3rd place at last year's Bizarro Showdown.

Texas Frightmare Weekend!

People of the Internet,

Heading out tomorrow to Dallas, Texas for a few days of fun before Texas Frightmare Weekend (May 1- May 3). A Few Updates! Hooray!

Man, I don't update this thing enough. Blogging is kind of annoying. Especially adding all the links. And this post is gonna be fucking FULL of links.

Here's a few things that have been going on over the past couple of months:

1. I was a guest on 'The Bad Game Show' along with Tiffany Scandal and Don Noble. The Bad Game Show is Rooster Republic Press's answer to To Tell The Truth. It was a lot of fun, and it certainly lived up to its name. It's a giant mess. View it on youtube HERE.

2. Speaking of youtube: I started my own youtube show called Trying to Remember Movies with Danger_Slater. The premise is that I try to recall everything I can about movies that I haven't seen in over a decade. What I learned is that I can talk for a really long time about things I have no authority on. 3. My novella ROADVOLUTION, which was my contributed half to my last book STRANGER DANGER has now been released on it's own. So, if you hate Kevin Strange, but love me, pick up ROADVOLUTION in ebook or paperback formats. The same goes for Kevin Strange's contribution COMPUTERFACE. Or, ya know, just buy STRANGER DANGER and get more bang for your buck.

PART ONE - New Flash Fiction

Yes, I have new flash fiction up at Bizarro Central. This story is called THE VERSION OF 'PINOCCHIO' WHERE PINOCCHIO HAS A DICK FOR A NOSE. And although the story is about Pinocchio having a dick for a nose, it's also a meta-meditation on what it means to create the kinds of stories in which things like Pinocchio having a dick for a nose happens.

PART TWO - New Interview

Another monolithic youtube interview with the one and only Kevin Strange. This time, I'm sober! Actually, if you have some time to spare, it's pretty in depth. Kevin traces my entire career path, from wanting to write as a kid, until today, on the precipice of my THIRD BOOK being released. It's been an interesting journey, to be sure.

PART THREE - Texas Frightmare Weekend

Last weekend I got to hang out with my Rooster Republic Press family at Texas Frightmare Weekend. It was amazing time, full of drunken debauchery, horror movie icons, karaoke and literature. I love everyone I met. Read Arthur Graham's brief write-up on Goodreads and hear about a 10th of the insanity that actually transpired. Plus we managed to sell a few copies of DangerRAMA.
